In the over ten years that Coatings by Sandberg has been in business, they have steadily amassed an amazing collection of Dichroic art work from around the world. Over time a variety of artists have also donated their works to CBS, leading to the idea of a Dichroic Art Museum to showcase and display the myraid of spectacular art glass to the public.
The Museum of Dichroic Art is currently located in the lobby of the CBS facility in Orange, California and is thought to be the largest known collection of Dichroic art glass in the world. The current collection features everything from small beads, to large wall pieces and everything "Dichroic" in between. The museum is open to the public during regular business hours from Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
As a Non-Profit organization, MODA held its first auction online in April 2008, to raise funds for start up costs. The various pieces of artwork were donated by some of our generous, loyal artists who have been with CBS since the inception of Dichroic into the art glass world.
